Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the services, websites and web pages operated by or on behalf of PTQuiz.Co.uk, simongemmill.com and rubberduckonfire.com (collectively, the “Sites” or “we/us/our”). By accessing or using the Sites, or by purchasing products or services from the Sites, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Sites or purchase products or services from them.

1. Parties and Scope

These Terms apply to: PTQuiz.Co.uk, simongemmill.com, and rubberduckonfire.com and to any subpages or subdirectories under those domains, including but not limited to the privacy policy located at PTQuiz.Co.uk/wp-content/private-policy/. Where a sale or service is offered through any of these domains, these Terms govern that transaction unless otherwise expressly stated in writing.

2. What We Sell — Permitted Products

We sell only the following types of products (no other types of goods or services are offered unless explicitly agreed in writing):

• Published Amazon eBooks (digital editions that were published and made available on Amazon).
• Published Amazon paperbacks.
• Published Amazon hardbacks.

All listings describe whether a product is an eBook, paperback or hardback. We do not sell unpublished manuscripts, drafts, or downloadable files other than the published Amazon eBook files referenced in a product listing.

3. Watermark and Digital Product Identification

To protect intellectual property rights and assist with provenance/tracing, digital products (including delivered eBook files and seller-provided sample files) may include visible or invisible watermarks. The standard watermark text we use is:

Watermarks may also include transactional metadata (for example order ID, purchaser email, or purchase date) when reasonably necessary for anti-piracy or licensing enforcement. By purchasing digital products you accept that watermarks may be embedded in the delivered files.

5. Payments, Pricing & Taxes

Prices are displayed on product pages. Payment must be made by the methods offered during checkout. You are responsible for paying any applicable taxes, duties or other governmental fees associated with your purchase. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and to refuse to accept or cancel any order placed for a product listed at an incorrect price.

6. Refunds & Returns

Because we sell only published Amazon books (eBooks, paperbacks, hardbacks), refunds or returns are governed by the product type and applicable law. For digital eBooks, we generally do not provide refunds once a file has been delivered, except where required by law or at our sole discretion. Physical items (paperback / hardback) may be returned in accordance with our returns policy where applicable and subject to the condition of the item and any shipping costs. Check the order confirmation and the product page for specific return instructions.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Sites (text, graphics, logos, images and software) is owned or licensed by us unless otherwise stated. Product listings will identify the publisher/rights holder where applicable. Your purchase of a product grants you only the rights expressly stated in the product description—this is typically a personal, non-transferable license to use the purchased book for your personal, non-commercial use. Reproduction, distribution, public display, or derivative works are prohibited unless the product listing or a separate written license expressly permits them.

8. User Conduct

You agree not to use the Sites to:

• violate applicable laws or third-party rights;
• copy, reproduce, sell, or redistribute digital files in breach of these Terms;
• attempt to remove or alter embedded watermarks or rights-management data; or
• use the Sites to transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

The Sites may contain links to third-party services including Amazon pages. We do not control third-party sites, and inclusion of links does not imply endorsement. Purchases on third-party sites are governed by those third parties’ terms and policies.

10. Privacy

Our collection and processing of personal data is described in the privacy policy located at: PTQuiz.Co.uk/wp-content/private-policy/. By using the Sites and placing orders you consent to the collection and use of information in accordance with that policy. We endeavour to comply with applicable data protection laws.

11. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Sites and all products are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind except as required by law. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude all liability for loss or damage arising out of or in connection with your use of the Sites or any products purchased from the Sites. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms shall not exceed the amount you actually paid us for the product that gives rise to the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless PTQuiz.Co.uk, simongemmill.com, rubberduckonfire.com, and their officers, owners, agents and employees from any claim, demand or damage (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, subject to any mandatory local consumer protection laws that apply to you.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted to the Sites with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
